Hello 2010!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!
2009 sure has been busy. I started kindergarten in April, went to Australia, mom & dad bought a condo here in Urayasu and we also went to Canada in September to visit my dad's family. Add to that several trips to Disney and exploration of the Kanto area. All in all a good year. Looking forward to another good year in 2010.

Visit to Shinjuku
I really wanted to try out the Oedo Line subway ('cause it goes as deep as 7 storeys underground!!), so I picked a destination and off we went. I had fun riding the subway and then stopping over at the Odakyu department store, where we took a break on the rooftop park. We also saw the "Tokyo Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower," which houses a fashion school.

Visit to Miraikan in Odaiba
(
National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation)
Early January, we went to Miraikan, which is located in one of my favourite spots, Odaiba. Got to see and play with lots of cool stuff, including a working physical model of the Internet, robot dogs, visual effects, examining the inside of the human body and getting inside a replica of one of the International Space Station modules (to name a few). We missed the Asimo twins' show, but dad included a screen shot below to give you an idea of what it was like.

Christmas
Pictures are worth 1,000 presents! This has to be one of my favourite days of the year. Waking up Christmas morning, finding out that the milk and cookies I left on the table for Santa are gone and finding gifts under the tree. Whooo hooo! I even received a sushi-train set, which we used for dinner later.
We also celebrated Dad's birthday. There were only 5 candles on his cake, but I suspect that there should be a few more (dozens).

Day Out to Disney with Mom
While Dad was working (hi hi hi!), mom and I went to Disney Land. It was sort of a "pre-Christmas" outing Can't get enough of the place. Here are a few shots from that day. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Kindergarten Christmas Pageant
In December, my school held its annual Christmas Pageant. I took part in three events, including a Taiko (Japanese drums) show, a music & dance show and a presentation put together by my English expression class. Lots of fun was had by everyone. My grandma came too!
Since my mom & dad couldn't take pictures and videos during the show (school rule!), we did manage to take a few photos with me in my costume for the first show. Of course, everyone is doing the obligatory peace sign. Hopefully, we'll get the school's photos & videos and post some soon.
